Can anyone recommend a trustworthy Paris apartment rental website? I've heard/read a lot of warnings about scams online for renting apartments, and would like to go through a site that people have used before and have been happy with. www.parishideaways.com is great, but they're mostly booked at this point. Thanks!

I've used www.vrbo.com several times in Paris and elsewhere and have never had a problem.

They are very trustworthy. It is an established company (American), not an individual. They have lots of apartments all over Paris. You can pay by credit card---no worries about wiring money into some stranger's bank account.

I have used VRBO, both in Europe and here in the States. I have never had a problem with the owners I have dealt with.
