I’m looking for trip suggestions for the last week of September. My top three European experiences have been hiking Cinque Terre, hiking Berner Oberland and the Dordogne canoe trip. Hiking in Cotswolds is not far behind these. We would like to hit a couple of spots during the week and will likely have a rental car. Good food and comfortable lodging is also important! Thanks in advance!
The coast of Croatia would be good that time of year.
The Italian Dolomites would be perfect for your love of hiking. Beautiful scenery, a cuisine that mixes and Germanic. We stayed in Ortisei and would return there.
We like biking and plan to go back to Burgundy and Amsterdam for more. Based in Beaune there are a lot of hiking/biking trails to nearby villages through the vineyards. Lots of good food and lodging. We only had a small sample biking North of the city of Amsterdam but loved it.
I'm looking at that list and think whichever you choose, you won't be disappointed! If I had to choose & if money were no option, I would favor hiking in the Berner Oberland. Absolutely stunning over there.
