I've been told by a friend passing through YYZ, on a recent domestic > international trip connection, that they didn't really notice any kerfuffle and their checked bag arrived with them in Munich. They will be returning through YUL.

Mostly a Europe thing based on this list, but that makes sense based on what we read here, a Europe oriented travel site.

I wonder how that compares to "normal" times, not that we have been in such times since 2019...hard to remember.

Hoping things improve by late Sept because our direct flight home from LGW to Halifax ended up being cancelled and we are being annoyingly rerouted via Pearson (now our only option with WestJet). They gave us a 1h40m connection, which I changed to a later flight, which got cancelled and they put me back on the short connection, which I changed yet again to a flight with a longer connection. Sigh.
