Traveling with minors to Italy

My wife and I are taking our 2 grandchildren to Italy this summer. Are there any regulations we should know about pertaining to customs, taking minors to a Italy or just things to be aware of?

Having been there on before I know that senior prices only pertain to the EU folks unlike here in the US but what about US students are they able to receive discounts?

Thank you in advance for all your help

Children have to show proof of EU citizenship as well to get discounts. The only place we got in just by saying the kids have EU citizenship and got no further questions was the Forum Romanum. Everywhere else we had to show their EU passports in order to get the discount.

You also need a notarized letter signed by both parents that you have the right to take the children out of the U.S. It's also a good idea to get the right to make medical decisions for the children.
