I will be accompanying my granddaughter on a trip to Europe next summer. She will have turned 16 by the time of our trip. I have a global entry card, but she does not. Since I will have all the appropriate paperwork designating me as her temporary guardian during the trip, will I be allowed to take her through with me on TSA pre-check on departure (assuming her ticket does not also come with TSA pre-check) and global entry on return? Hoping to avoid huge lines at customs and immigration at JFK on our return. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Global Entry. No
Precheck depends on your area. Some airports are fine. Some aren’t
Global Entry benefits are member specific and cannot be extended to others.

The far more important issue is making sure you have the correct paperwork from her parents to present to border authorities authorizing you to take her out of the U.S. and again to take her out of France.
@Kim. — I am fully aware of what paperwork I need.
Upon re-entry, you go through the GE line, have her download Mobile Passport and she goes through that line (when I used MP @ EWR, both MP & GE ended up in the same line anyways) and y'all will be out faster than the non MP/GE folks.
@Skunklet — I was thinking about doing that but not certain if she will be allowed to go through on her own without me there with my paperwork as her legal temporary guardian. (She will be 16 but not sure about the legalities during reentry as a minor.) Thinking, despite having global entry, I may need to go through with mobile passport as well.
