We are planning a trip to Switzerland using Rick's guide book but missed Venice on our trip to Italy and would like to see it. Is there a practical way to travel between Pontresina and Venice?

This is not really answering your question but I'm so glad that you're going to Pontresina! I loved visiting that region of Switzerland and the hiking is amazing! I stayed at Hotel La Collina.
