Travel to Moscow after the RS St. Petersburg Tour

I have seen that a few tour travelers have continued on to Moscow following the completion of the RS formal tour (Tallin, Helsinki, that ends in St. Petersburg). May I ask your advice on how you made those arrangements and what you learned and would suggest? Thank you!
