HI- would like to get advice on best itinerary for driving Lake Como (Bellagio) up into Switzerland and to Lucerne.
We will stay night of Sept27th in Como, and will fly out of Zurich late afternoon of Sept 30th, so basically have 2.5 days to explore. I want to spend a day in Lucerne and Engleberg, but would like to get suggestions on how we should plan the trip between the two places. We will be driving. Appreciate any help on what are the best things to see and do and which way to drive- thanks!
Its only a 2 and half hour drive from Bellagio to Luzern so you can go anywhere. You could go over the pass instead of through the tunnel. You could do the Susten Pass over to Meiringen and the Berner Oberland and then from Brienz over the pass to Luzern. You could wander all over Vierwaldstattersee. Many choices. If you don't explain what you want to see and do it is difficult to narrow down the suggestions.
HI Nigel Thanks for your help Was thinking of spending a day travelling between perhaps Como and Interlaken finishing late in day at Lucerne then second day Mt Titlis or Mt Pilatus. We love hiking and scenery not that fussed on museums etc- would rather be outdoors. Any suggestions on whether you think this is a good itinerary plus ideas for stops between Como and Interlaken would be appreciated Thanks Jen
Question - if you stop between Como and "Interlaken" (surely you mean up in the mountains not on the flat land of Interlaken) how will you have any time to walk in the Alps?
This is why I need help with the itinerary..:))
