I usually do my own travel arrangements and have bought HTH and Alliance travel insurance (never had to use them). I am going on a group tour this time and the tour operator uses USI Travel Insurance (Preferred Benefits Platinum Plan). It costs about the same as Alliance but I can find little about this company on-line. There is a mention that it is used by UC Berkeley but it is not on 'Insuremytrip.com'. Anyone know anything about it? It seems to be advantageous to use the group's policy but I want quality insurance in case (God forbid), I need it.
