Looking to buy travel insurance while in France to include CDW as well as medical.

I'm pretty sure you will want to buy any travel insurance before you begin your travels, not while you are there. Do you want a comprehensive policy that covers trip cancellation/ interruption/ medical/ evacuation; or only medical and car insurance?
I'm pretty sure any car damage insurance would be a separate policy. But check your own car insurance first to see if rentals are also covered . And your credit cards may also offer that kind of coverage.
