If you have actually filed a claim with a travel ins. I would be interested to know which company and if you were satisfied.

We had to file a claim with Travel Guard. They did want full documentation but it was not unreasonable and we did not have to jump through any hoops. The claim was paid within 2 or 3 weeks. No complaints about them at all and we still insure our trips with them. TC

We filed a claim in 2008 with CSA travel insurance. It was for reimbursement on car rental damage claim. It took us 3 months to get the information from the car rental company. It took CSA 10 days to send us our check in full. We could not have been more pleased with the company. We called right after the damage happened and several times as we walked through the process. They were always friendly and helpful. As with all trip insurance, read the policy and know what you need to do in case of a need to file a claim. We followed their instruction (which were not difficult) and that helped.
