For those who have visited Iceland, which travel book did you use? I have used several authors while traveling but because of the cost would like to buy just one.
We used just one book - Insight Guides, and it was fine. Didn't spend much time comparison shopping against other guide books, just took a quick look and went with it.
Lonely Planet. We only did Reykjavik, Lagoon and Golden Circle. It was fine for us, but I cannot really comment on its usefulness if you are travelling around the country.
I used Lonely Planet. I found it helpful.
Actually I loved Iceland and would go back there in a second! I was just answering his question.
Paul - Like Kate, I was simply answering the question that was asked. Charles didn't ask how people felt about Iceland. I actually loved Iceland and fully intend to return some day. I want to see more of the rural areas.
Iceland is fantastic. I have a Globetrotter Guide to Iceland if you want it. It is small, so not TERRIBLY useful, but I'll give it to you if you want. It was what we needed as we were only there for three days, sticking to Reykjavik and the South Coast. PM me.
