Many people on this forum, myself included have bought Travel Guard for our trips through the years to Europe or where ever in the world. Now many on this forum are upset with Travel Guard because they have not returned the premium on cancelled trips due to Covid 19. I understand how upsetting it is not to have hard earned money not be returned when it is not our fault for not going on a trip due to Covid 19.
My question is, in the future should we continue to buy insurance through Travel Guard?
This question is for people who have made claims through Travel Guard in the past. Did they honor their claims? Did they pay their claims in a timely manner? Did they help you make your claim, explain in full why they could not pay a claim? Did they settle their claims with you? What was your experience with Travel Guard during the claim making process? Did they provide the services they promised? Did they provide you with the insurance policy including the exclusions?
Was your claim denied but was it in the exclusions? Was your claim denied but you had to fight because your claim was not in the exclusions but Travel Guard denied it any way?
My question is, did Travel Guard pay their claims and would you buy Travel Guard again, after making a claim with Travel Guard.
I think we all need to determine for our future travel, what travel insurance will be there for us and what companies we should buy our travel insurance from so that we have peace of mind.
