Planning a trip in July 2011 arriving in Milan driving to Verona for 3 nights then up to Innsbruck, Austria for 3 nights. From there to an area around St. Moritz for 2 nights then to Lake Como for 4 nights. Is this feasible? We can either train or drive, what would be best?

I love the trains in the mountains - we did a two week rail trip just in Swizerland entering at Tirano up to St Moritz, Italy (starting in Venice, changing in Milan). I think you could make it work. Start with the German Rail site to see how the connections would be - you'll need to do it in sections. http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en? look to see how much time you are waiting for trains and could be on the road. It would be a lovely driving trip as well - I prefer public transport when we can.
