Have any women found stylish pants/skirts/dresses that don't wrinkle/pack well/are easy to clean? For fall trip to Italy. Thanks!
So-called "travel knits" are usually acetate-spandex combination fabrics. Microfiber polyester likewise is a good travel fabric. Both wash in a sink and dry relatively quickly and neither wrinkle, especially if rolled for packing. You can find lots of such items at travelsmith.com and coldwatercreek.com.
I will leave the question of "stylishness" to those better able to comment.
Take a look at the items on the TravelSmith website.
I think Chico's (which might be at your local mall) also has a line of travel clothing.
Yes, my regular clothes! The same skirts and dresses I might take on a business trip do just as well on a European trip. Most skirts and dresses have a bit of stretchy material in them these days, so wrinkles come out with hanging. I usually just bring one or two of each--a basic black skirt and dress and then whatever I'm wearing a lot of at the moment. I've never found it necessary to buy special travel clothes.
Thanks! Chicos does have a fabulous line of travel clothes that are easy to wash, pack and most are made in the USA! Which by itself is hard to find.
So am going to check them out for sure!
I do take my regular clothes but want a black skirt and black pants that can be smashed up in the suitcase and still look great!
I have the Chicos clothing and it holds up well.
As to what I take, it tends to vary. Some trips I take the Chicos and some I just take a few pairs of my basic black pants and some tops. (I think the big factor is how long the trip is. The Chico's stuff is great for "sink washing" my regular stuff might not be as good! :) )
Thanks! I will be there for three weeks so being able to wash easily would be a great plus!
Look at Tilley's as well. I've also taken Eileen Fisher with me.

I also bought the knitwear at K-Mart,,,Jaclyn Smith clothes works fine also. Wash them in the sink or while you're showering
I found a nice black skirt at the Goodwill made of stretchy poly blend fabric - washes and dries over night. Several others were options that were similar fabrics as the Chicos brand but $4.99 instead of $49.99. I have several pairs of Royal Robbins travel "slacks" made of nylon material that don't get wrinkly and easily wash. Not sure I'd call them "stylish" but I tend to err on the side of comfort and easy care. I've also traveled with a cool reversible skirt (purchased at JC Penney) that had a pattern on one side and a floral on the other. Since you have plenty of time, just keep your eyes out at the mall and you'll find things that work.
I don't have any particular store where I get these, but I love lightweight pants that I can wash in the sink at night and they're dry in the morning. Mine are a cotton/spandex blend, not so good at keeping wrinkles out, but I don't mind that so much (I use my iron so infrequently that whenever I get it out, my kids say "ooh! What's that?).
