Any recommendations on a good, easy to use, reliable travel blog that i can share with friends and family, where I can upload as many photos as I want, write to my heart's desire and maybe create a travel map?

Www.ballofdirt.com lets you upload pictures, maps, and video in addition to keeping a blog. It keeps a map for you of your stops along the way. It has been around for several years now and it improves all the time -- and it's free. And the guys that run the site are terrific if you have problems. Message me if you'd like more information.
