My wife and I are taking a 6 month tour of Europe starting this June. We want to start a travel blog so friends and family (both in the states and abroad) can track our progess and post messages. We also want to update while traveling from internet cafes and hopefully upload pictures. Does anyone have a site they would recommend for this? One with a map that actually plots your trip would be ideal. Thanks!

blogger.com - run by google is great and free. you can even upload your entries from your phone using a special email address for your blog for those times when you cant get to a regular pc!

I also just came across www.bugbitten.com as well :) it seems to be pretty good too :)
also, if you want to have your own webpage, try www.freewebs.com and link your photos up with www.photobucket.com

My favorite is Ball of Dirt. It's totally free and I keep all of my vacation journals there, with as many pictures as I want (or video). www.ballofdirt.com

I'm using www.footstops.com, its free, you can add maps and pictures as well, and seperate your blogs into different categories, I seperate them by country
