What is the best way to get to get there?Train, bus?(I know they both go there.) Im coming from Monterosso ( Cinque Terra) by train.From what I can gather, its not very far. Recommendations, advice? Many thanks

We've been to Genoa 2x and both times just took a taxi from our hotel (not far from the train station) to the airport. No hassle, and we were on our way home and just wanted to get to the airport with a minimum of worry. It wasn't that expensive and in our minds worth it to go straight to the airport with time to spare.

In 2010, I took a shuttle bus from the airport to the train station on my way to Cinque Terre. It gave me a short tour of the city and was an efficient way to get around.

How long will the taxi take from the Genoa airport to the train station? We are arriving at the airport at 8pm (20h00) and need to catch a late train to Monterosso before the trains stop for the night. Is there a lot of traffic through Genoa? Thank you for your help!
