I will be in Munich for two weeks in late June on business and will need to bring a checked suitcase. After than I plan to take the train to Italy and to spend two weeks hiking in the Dolomites carrying only my small backpack. Is there any way to have my suitcase transported from Munich to the Venice train station so I can fly home from there?

A thought - train from Munich to Venice, spend a night, leave your luggage with the hotel, then go to Bolzano or wherever for your hiking...
