transportation options Windsor Canada airport back to Detroit Metro

My friend and I are flying out of Windsor Canada to Glasgow in late August. She is returning on 9/10, but I am staying until 9/26. Tried to rent a car out of Windsor airport to drive back to Lansing, Michigan and return the car, but not coming up as an option. I saw something about a tunnel bus from Windsor to Detroit, and that might work if I could get a car in Detroit for return in Lansing. Ideas?

Windsor and Detroit are not in Europe. I would have put it under Beyond Europe.

Its a bit tortuous, but take the No 8 bus from Windsor airport to Windsor International Terminal. Change to the Tunnel Bus to Cobo Hall in Detroit. Then take the People Mover elevated train to the Cadillac Center and you're 2 blocks from the Enterprise location at 1034 Randolph St.

I see a few different options with shuttles, going between Windsor and Detroit Metro. And it looks like at least one casino in Windsor does that. You could then rent a car to Lansing at the Detroit Metro airport. Or maybe a different shuttle. It is definitely convoluted! You'll want to check long term parking rates at Windsor. It might be cheaper to take two cars into Canada.

Air Canada runs about four flights a day from Toronto to Detroit Metro. Flying that route and renting at Metro is the simplest solution for carrying on to Lansing. I can't comment on the cost of Pearson-Metro as opposed to Pearson-Windsor but there may well be a difference since Metro qualifies as an international destination from Toronto (and you probably know the gap in the two countries' currencies.) But certainly the Metro-to-Toronto ticket should be purchased as part of the itinerary to Glasgow. Otherwise whatever you are saving by flying via Canada could be reduce or eliminated. And I am assuming that AC (with partner) is your carrier into Glasgow.

You can also get a Greyhound bus to E Lansing from Detroit.

Hi, I live in Windsor and was wondering if you checked into the Robert Q airport shuttle? They go from Windsor to Detroit Metro.
