Hi - My wife and I are contemplating taking a train from Genoa to Barcelona. we would prefer to travel during daylight hours to take advantage of the scenery.. our question is can anyone advise if one way tickets can be purchased and if so approximately what price & how long does the journey take. we are aware of the eurorail passes but would have little use for them other than this one way journey.. anyhelp greatfully appreciated..
One-way tickets can always be purchased for regular train trips in Europe. .
The route is long, not necessarily scenery all the way. If you want to travel, you will have to make a lot of connections. The only set of connections available is leaving Genova 8h55 and arriving 22h31 in Barcelona, with connections in Ventimiglia, Nice, Montpellier and Figueres.
