Train travel from Bludenz, Austria to Venice, Italy

We've seen the time table and the train changes that we need to use in order to get to Venice from Bludenz using the sbb.ch website.

The Verona to Venice leg requires a reservation. This travel will be on July 13th. We arrive in Bludenz on July 8th. Can we just purchase this from the Bludenz train station(July 8th) for travel to Venice on July 13th?

Thanks for your help on this.

What connection are you looking at? You have the option of taking the hourly Regionale Veloce train from Verona to Venice SL. It is unreserved, and cheaper spur-of-the-moment than the Freccia reserved trains. It takes 1 hour 27 minutes to get to Venice, while the Freccia trains do it in 1 hour and 11 minutes. Since it originates in Verona, you can board and get a seat as soon as they spot it on the platform.

www.sbb.ch is the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) website!
The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) website is www.oebb.at The Italian railways site is www.trenitalia.com
Since you are travelling from Austria to Italy, you are more likely to get prices from the Austrian or Italian sites than the Swiss one.

I went to the Trenitalia website, and there is a 9:27 train(Eurocity 81) to Verona Porta Nuova, then catch Eurocity 37 to Venezia Santa Lucia.

Sounds like I just need to chill and enjoy the experience. :)

Thanks for everyone's input.
