Planning to travel from Chamonix to Zermatt to Grindelwald to Zurich. Would I be better off purchasing a Swiss Travel Pass, a Swiss Half Card or just buying three separate tickets?

Depends. Total nights in Zermatt and Grindelwald? Other trips planned for your time in Zermatt and Grindelwald?

5 nights in Zermatt, 4 in Grindelwald.
Main purpose of the trip is to see Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and the Eiger.
Also, any recommendations for traveling from Geneva International to Chamonix?
