Train tickets or passes for multiple countries

Our train trip starts with a day train from Prague to Vienna, then overnight sleeper from Vienna to Venice.
We'll add local train from Venice to Padua. Day trips from Padua to Vicenza, Venice And Verona.
After that we will head to Pisa or Spezia by train. Spezia to Portofina, then Milan. Maybe a day trip to Lake Como.
Maybe a car would be better after Padua?
Would a Global pass make sense? it seems like the night train is a separate rail system.
We are seniors and prefer first class tickets.
Thank you to anyone with experience on this!

Would a Global pass make sense?

You'll have to do the maths, but my gut feeling is no.

it seems like the night train is a separate rail system.

I'm not sure what you mean with "rail system", but the Vienna-Venice night train is operated by ÖBB. But have you considered the day train? Takes a while, but there is great scenery along the route.

It is, but it also offers great views of the Alps along the way.

In the end it's your trip and you decide, but I think you should be aware of the options.

njn,
Back in the day (1974) we took the train from Verona to Vienna, during the day. I don't recall if we had a change somewhere in Italy, but the train ride to Vienna was spectacular! I am so glad I was able to spend the hours soaking up the beauty of the route through the mountains. Even now I can't remember if the pass was Petit St. Bernard or Grand St. Bernard, but it is a ride I will never regret.

Most of your Italian rail tickets are going to be very inexpensive. I don't see any way a rail pass will save you money.

You may be able to save some money on the Vienna-Venice ticket by buying it well before your travel date. What date do you plan to leave Vienna?

For the Prague-Vienna ticket, I'd check both the Austrian rail website (https://www.oebb.at/en/) and the Czech website (https://www.cd.cz/en/).

The sleeper supplement on the night train will be a significant extra cost either way, and those berths do sell out.
