I am looking at tickets from Barcelona to Paris on May 15. For 1 person, I see 29 euros, for 2 people, 58 euros. But when I put in 3 people, which is what I need, it jumps to 267 euros. Anybody have any ideas about what's going on? Is it just that there are only 2 left at the cheaper price? By the way, it shows the same prices on Loco2 and on Trainline.eu. Those are the two places I have looked
I appreciate any help or advice you have!
Try a different date where you can find the same 29 euro price and try 3 people. If the price doesn't go up to 267 Euros...then I think that's your answer: only two left at that price.
Could be. 29 euro is exceptionally cheap for that run. Can you book 2 and 1?
Good idea! Thanks. If I put in one week later, it shows 81.50 total for 3 people. But if I go one week earlier, it is 334 for the total. So I think it must just be that there are 2 left at that price. I will try to just buy 2 and 1.
Thanks for the prompt replies!
Be sure you are booking the direct high speed train which is a little over 6 hours, not the connecting train which is 12. We did this 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. The difference between 1st and 2nd class was not material so we went for 1st class. a little more room, better storage for our bags, we thought it was worth it.
