Train guidance

Thanks for several of you who helped me decide on which cities to add to our itinerary. Here is our planned itinerary in June:
Day 1 - arrive into Budapest
Day 2 - Budapest
Day 3 - Budapest - go to Vienna (Train)
Day 4 - Vienna
Day 5 - Vienna to Prague (Train)
Day 6 - Prague
Day 7 - Prague
Day 8 - Fly to Copenhagen
Day 9 - Copenhagen
Day 10 - Fly to Stockholm for a conf

As you can see, it is a a packed trip, allowing us to probably only highlights in each place. My question is about the trains. We only have two intercity train needs (BUD-VIE and VIE-PRG). But we will obviously use local trains in the cities. Which type of train pass would you recommend? Are there passes that cover or two intercity trips and also within city transportation?
Thanks!

Just buy tickets when you want to travel. Budapest to Vienna is not very expensive. Vienna to Prague you have the choice of 2 train companies, OEBB/CD and Regiojet. Buy day tickets in the individual cities, either single or multiday to get around. Again, not very expensive.

As noted above, a pass would be a complete waste of money.

Budapest to Vienna should cost as little as 13 Euro. Read this - https://www.seat61.com/international-trains/trains-from-Budapest.htm#Budapest-Austria

Vienna to Prague should cost as little as 14 Euro. Read this - https://www.seat61.com/trains-and-routes/prague-to-vienna-by-train.htm

Once you’re in each city, buy a public transportation pass or tickets as you need them - again, not expensive. For Vienna, a 48 or 72 hour transportation pass would work well. You buy from the ticket machine at every subway stop.

Don't fly from Copenhagen to Stockholm. The train takes the same time from city centre to city centre and is both cheaper and more comfortable. Book in advance at www.sj.se

You need separate tickets for the local transportation in each city. The train tickets just get you between the cities.
