Planning our spring 2026 trip and working on the details now.
My friend needs to get from Rotterdam to Berlin on Saturday April 25, 2026. We can't find any trains that day on NS International. The schedule keeps sending us to the Friday before. So- are we just too early, and the schedule isn't fully available? I'm sure some you crafty train experts will figure out what we are doing wrong. Perhaps she has to catch the train from Amsterdam?
Thanks for all of your help.
Did you check Deutsche Bahn journey planner already? It shows connections.

For Germany all schedules are available since mid December.
If final destination is near a S-Bahn station in Berlin (only) just book this as final destination without extra cost, e. g. Friedrichstrasse.
European Sleeper offers a night train on April 24, arriving 25.

Mark and Windyram,
Thanks so much. We appreciate your help, and for the life of us, we couldn't come up with your results. This Forum is priceless!
I just added a new post, as I think part of our problem is that the NL International app keeps changing the date inputted to the day before. That's why we couldn't find trains on the designated date. So you all that helped me obviously didn't have that problem. Have any idea why? Thanks again!
We don't have the problem because we're in Europe.
Solution probably will be to change the time zone of your phone to CET (Central European Time) and that your calendar should be set to Gregorian.
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
Turn off Set Automatically. Is this setting dimmed?
Change the time zone
Tap Time Zone and enter a city with the time zone that you need (in casu Amsterdam)
Don't forget to switch it back afterwards !
One option is to book the train from Rotterdam to Berlin on the Deutsche Bahn site (www.bahn.com). The trains will be the same, the ticket will just be issued by DB in stead. And on the Bahn site you can select your seat from a map when making a reservation.
I don't think they need to go to the db site.
This 'date problem' is linked to the apps. DB app will probably have the same problem as the NS app.
So they can simply go to the NS international website too to avoid the problem.
However, if using the apps instead of the websites, you need to change the automatic date setting in your phones outside CET zone.
(And to say more, they even don't need to switch it. The app will tell you f.ex. 23 January, but the ticket will show 24 January, ... although I would prefer to change the date setting in my phone to be for 100% sure 😉).
Thanks, all, our technology is both a great asset and a complication. I appreciate all your help.
