I love that we are considered non-toxic! Twitter never struck me as worthwhile and ever-so-shallow.

Hopefully Mr. Musk isn't able to buy Rick Steves himself! I assume if he buys Rick, he'd get these forums too?

I haven't noticed the collective universe freaking at anything. Just a handful of malcontents.

While certain 4 letter words should not be allowed, here's hoping the Webmaster follows the Elon Musk example and keeps Free Speech in mind.

If the “collective world” is freaking out over a billionaire who wants to end censorship & reinstate free speech by buying Twitter, the “collective world” must be a bunch of delicate snowflakes. I do love the plug for the Rick Steves forum!

Thanks to the Webmaster for keeping this place nontoxic and on topic (or close enough when we’re having online fun)! Although international- so still travel related- cat videos wouldn’t be a terrible thing. 🙂

Frankly, this forum has always been a non-toxic alternative to twitter and any of the other social media platforms - It's not exactly a recent development.

We could try being an autonomous collective? Nah...

We could become an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We'd take turns to act as a sort of executive-officer-for-the-week. But all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs -- but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major...

Well, I followed that twitter link and was grossed out when I saw that girl dip her mango slice in the ocean and eat it, only because Rihanna (now there's a fine role model) did it ... my first and last twitter view ... what a waste of time, I'd rather be planning another trip ... but to each their own
