We are staying in Rome and want a few day trips is it better or cheaper via EuroRail. We want to see Florence, Capri Sorrento are these possible and how much will it cost us to do these day trips and how do we purchase our tickets and where is the best place to purchase them

EuroRail, Rail Europe are travel agencies that sell tickets and do not operate any trains. Florence is easy as a day trip -- two hours each way. Sorrento, Capri are just too far and involved with train changes so that it is really not practical for a day trip to either. Purchase your tickets at trenitalia.com -- the Italian rail road site.
