I have been viewing and enjoying the Tour Scrapbook site as I have been missing actual traveling. Viewing them gets the travel juices flowing. We had to postpone a week this year in Paris and another trip to Italy. I just rescheduled the Paris hotel for May, 2021 and the Italy trip has been rescheduled for 2022. A trip is being planned for for Istanbul. Since 1999, I have made 9 trips to Europe in between trips to China, Japan and Hawaii. I have used the Rick Steves guidebooks and this forum for information to use on my travels and find many of those locations and hotels in the scrapbooks. I am part of a travel group that includes Europeans that arrange trips to places they know. Rick Steves travel information is used to extend the trips to places we go after the travel group locations. I have not been on a Rick Steves Tour yet, but it is on my bucket list as we now only use public transportation and don’t rent cars as we are getting older (we were cured after trips to Scotland and Ireland)! Again, the well illustrated and detailed scrapbook show places I have been and places I want to go or go again. Thanks to all that did such wonderful jobs putting these books together. They give me ideas for one day submitting one.
I too enjoy looking at everyone’s scrapbooks. Besides looking at their wonderful pictures giving me ideas of where to visit, i pick up pointers for my own scrapbooking.
I have my own website where I post my vacation photos. Makes it easy if I can’t remember the name of a place I visited and need to look it up. It’s also good for our friends who are not on social media but want to see some photos.
