I'm assuming that you mean by train. 10.0hrs-14.0hrs depending on the run and the category of trains on the run (one has a slower R train). There is a night train that takes 13.5hrs. You might consider flying on an inexpensive airline. Vueling and Easyjet fly to Paris-CDG from Venice-Marco Polo. Myair flys to Paris-Orly from Venice Marco Polo. If you sign up early on Vueling, fares could be a low as 56Euro.

If you go the "cheap airline" route, beware carry-on luggage limitations. For instance, Meridiana has an 8kg carry-on limit (in some cases 5kg), and that's a bit restrictive.
If you go over any of their limits, your "cheap airline" may end up costing you a LOT.
It happened to a couple of people in our field school.
