Hi, I am looking for any suggestions about purchasing a ticket from Toronto to Paris .The most affordable and reliable online options? Just don't want to be surprised; since, this is my first airline ticket purchase.THX for any related info :D
Rachal, the obvious choices are Air Canada or Air Transat,, both are fine and I have used both many times. Air Transat is often cheaper, and you can fly into one city ( say London) and out of another ( say Paris) and its just as cheap as a simple return. The Air Transat website is easy to use and understand. It is a budget airline , not in terms of everything, food is same as Air Canada( both bad, lol ) but Air Canada planes have inseat tvs and Air Transat doesn't , they just play some movies on ceiling lowered screens. Most flights to PAris leave later in day so you should sleep on flight anyways if possible, so I wouldn't pick or not pick an airline based on inflight entertainment.
Rachel, You can use online travel services such as Expedia, Priceline or Hipmunk to find flights, OR you can use the airline websites. As Pat mentioned, Air Canada or Air Transat would be a good place to start. Air Transat tends to offer flights to Europe mostly in the spring/summer/fall, and not throughout the year, and they typically only offer flights once or twice a week. Air Canada has a greater choice of flights (usually every day) but they will likely be more expensive. Air Canada sometimes has some good deals from Montreal to Paris. You might find it helpful to subscribe to the AC Websaver service, which provides listings of sale prices. The method I use is to plan my flights on the net, and then book with a Travel Agent. I don't mind paying the small service fee, as they often find me slightly better prices or flights. You may wish to have a chat with a Travel Agent in your area, as they'll be able to provide good information. You can also ask about travel medical insurance at the same time. Happy travels!
