I recall there being a thread a few weeks or so ago about the various ethnicities and percentages thereof in European cities. I am having no luck finding it (and yes, I used the Google advanced search method). Am I losing my mind or just using the wrong parameters in my search?

I don't think it was a thread on its own. As I recall, it was a response on someone else's thread. Might make it tough to find.

That might be something you have to look up for each individual city and its statistics. Though I am sure wiki should have something to say about it, one can't trust wiki figures and info too much.
I know the stats for Frankfurt if that will help you.
25 % of the population possess a foreign passport.
40 % have some sort of immigration background, either 1 parent is a foreigner, or they have taken on German citizenship.
Every third marriage at city hall, one partner is a foreigner.
2 % of the population are native English speakers.
Around 180 countries are represented in Frankfurt
