This might be a good idea for post-pandemic travel.....

I'm not sure if this was covered in a previous thread.

The IATA has announced that they're developing a smartphone App that will provide a record of not only Covid vaccinations, but also quarantine and other information for various locations in the world. The App will tentatively be released at the end of March in both iOS and Android formats.

It appears they will also have a paper option for those that don't have a smartphone. As the IATA is the official trade association for airlines, I suspect that most will decide to use this App.

The IATA also maintains a handy website: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/ that gives up to date information on Covid restrictions as well as documentation requirements for entry, which it always has.

To proactively respond to those who lament that this is not an "Official" government site, it is essentially the same database used by most airlines to determine boarding requirements for International flights, which, if you don't get on the flight, entry requirements are sort of a moot point.

I am looking at the CLEAR app.
A health section has been recently added and is free, unlike the TSA security part of CLEAR.
It was interesting to see that the flights to Hawaii have already been loaded in the app.

I'm still hoping for a world open for travel without round the clock/globe surveillance.

"I'm still hoping for a world open for travel without round the clock/globe surveillance."

I suspect that the "new reality" for the foreseeable future will involve vaccine passports or other documentation, especially for travel. Our federal Minister of Health announced the other day that she is in discussions with her counterparts in other G7 countries about this, and I expect all will adopt a universal protocol. As I mentioned in another thread, the IATA is also working on an App and that might be used by all airlines.

This has not been the case since 2001
