The Redpath Family Goes Mobile - From Here To Uncertainty

Hi Guys,

I was browsing around the other day and stumbled onto the Redpath Family's web site. They're chucking it all and traveling Europe for a year with their two little kids. I felt a connection with them as I did a similar thing last year, my trip was only two months though and I was solo. These guys are out there.

They're leaving in six days. I talked with Bob and Brenna today, awesome couple with awesome kids and a great story. I posted an article about our conversation, check it out at:

Check our their site at:

They'll be blogging and uploading pics and videos, you might want to follow their adventure, I think it'll be pretty neat. I'm gonna live vicariously though them for a while.

They got all the Rick Steves books and have been reading and hopefuly, we'll see them posting here soon, so be on the look out for Bob or Brenna Redpath.

Cheers,
Maggie

In Europe for a year. Well, I assume they have obtained the special visas required for US citizens to stay in the EU for more than 90 days out of 180 days. Surely that must have occurred to them.

Hey Kent, great to hear from you. I was 95% sure that would be the first question from someone.

Yeah, I asked them about that today and they're aware of it. They'll do UK and Ireland as needed and they were thinking about Turkey and perhaps some time in North Africa as well, so... Yeah, we'll see.

Cheers,
Maggie

Hello Maggie. I thank you for that information.
I do like to read people's blogs from Europe.

Hey Maggie,

We just got settled into our apartment today in Krakow, Poland after a few weeks of occasional/sketchy internet in Serbia. We stayed with friends who graciously put us up and showed us around. We were in Belgrade and the spa town of Sokobanja mostly, with trips to Nis and the tiny farming village of our friend's family. We're so happy to have our own kitchen now so that we can eat in and start saving some money. Last night, our first in Krakow, we happened into a vegetarian restaurant and I'm pretty sure it was the first meal in three weeks that wasn't nearly all meat. Tonight it's off to the market. We also have internet access on demand now. SUCH a wonderful thing! We're looking forward to exploring our new neighborhood.

If anyone has any must-see places in Krakow or the surrounding area, let us know.

Best,
Bob & Brenna
