Is it safe to visit the Abby St Denis outside of Paris. I have heard the area is not the best. True or not true?
Thanks,

If you're going from the metro station to the abbey, you should not have any problems. Hundreds of tourists make the trip everyday. You may not want to hang out in the neighborhood after you're done. If you're interested in medieval architecture, St. Denis is a must see.
Russell, when you get off the metro you will see lots of signs to guide you to St. Denis Basilica. It is a short walk and you won't encounter any problems. The shopping area is lively and interesting, with lots of bargains to be had.
St Denis is a small town in itself. The central district is not bad, it's the housing projects around.
