I feel stupid writing a thank you post to an online forum, but that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm 55 and embarking in two days on my first trip to Europe, and although I'm excited and nervous, I'm also much more confident about it than I was a couple of months ago, and much of it has to do with this forum and the Rick Steves folks. And Rick's podcasts and online content, of course. I haven't had enough time to digest books, I won't be very prepared in many areas, but this forum has helped me answer specific questions as I had them. So, thanks forum, I will give a trip report when we return in August!

everything you are feeling/experience is normal.
Once you land and walk around, you will feel right at home and wonder why you worried so much and why you didnt do this sooner.
