Interesting - especially as the process is in transition.
CVG/ Cincinnati Northern Kentucky airport had a show and tell for news reporters this week that it has CT scanning up and running. It will soon mean no more need to remove electronics. I did not notice any mention of liquids.
I went through Helsinki airport today. In the Fast Track/Priority security line we didn't have to take anything out of our bags. Only out of our pockets. It took them longer to screen the bags but it was easier on us.
No word about liquid sizes.
I don't understand how a CT scan can determine if the liquid is safe or not.
OK let’s step back here there is no liquid ban.
A ban would imply a total restriction
And since people who work for the airline, people who work for the airport and random others can get away with any amount of liquids they want this is always been theater. After all none of those people would ever do anything to hurt you would they? Oh wait a minute, one of the liquid bomb plot people I believe worked for the airport!
when they get rid of this, it won’t be because Of new technology but because it’s always been useless
This has been nothing but theater to make you feel safer
