Teacher free question

Being a teacher, I would love to get in free to the museums in Paris. However, my husband will be getting a museum pass and get to go in with no lines. WIll I be able to go with him or have to wait in a line? Also, when you say all the museums, do you really mean all? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Just came from Paris and I didn't really see a free entrance for teachers, unless you teach in Europe. The museum pass is worth it...and it pretty much means all. It doesn't cover the Eiffel Tower or Montmarte. There is a listing of the sights it includes on the website, which I think is about 60. I wouldn't risk the possibility of having to stand in the lines just to save 32 euros.

It looks like there are a few stipulations around free entrance for teachers in the museums of Paris. You may wish to contact a couple via e-mail and ask your question(s) of them directly. Check www.louvre.fr. Go to visit>admission fees, and review the information about teacher discounts. At the bottom of the page, go to contact us. You can e-mail American Friends of the Louvre from there with your question(s). Also, check out the Orsay at www.musee-orsay.fr. Scroll down and click on contact us. Go to other questions, and send an e-mail with your question(s). Good luck.

As a retired teacher, I sorta kept my eye out for such discounts and don't recall seeing any, but then I wasn't looking all that hard. We did have the Museum Pass in France and it was very nice to have. You will still have to wait to pass security, but the hours saved over several days in lines made the pass worth its weight in Euros to us.

Thanks everyone. I was going to get a museum pass but then saw the free for teachers on a different posting and thought I would ask.
