My wife and I are heading to France and Croatia in Sept for 3 weeks and we are wondering about the best way to pack our various vitamins and and non- Rx supplements. When we travel, we typically leave the original bottles behind and pack our daily vitamins and supplements pills in small plastic "pill bags", one for baggie each day's pills. This saves a lot of space and weight. Will we run into any trouble getting through customs or traveling around France Croatia (and a stop in Rome) with a bunch of small baggies with 8-15 pills of various sizes, shapes and colors? Thanks!

erdjohnson,

happy trails.
Take as many as you want. Carry them where you want. Nobody gives a rat's rear bumper. You can't use them to blow up a plane. There's nothing a customs agent hasn't seen.
You'll only have one customs "stop" on your trip when you first arrive in Europe.
You're liable for customs scrutiny coming and going from Croatia.
I would not be worried about bringing them, and it's common to do so. At most European ports of entry, a visitor just walks through the customs gate/area that says "nothing to declare," with no further ceremony or questions. If you're carrying over $10,000 cash, for instance, then you must stop to declare it.
Bon voyage!
I chuck OTC drugs/supplements into a unified container with prescription medicines in original bottles/packs. Of the many international trips, not once have such been examined by anyone of authority.
