We're staying 2 nights in Venice. We'd like to go see the alps ,so we need to know how to travel and where to go and where to stay ? We have 2 days and nights free coming from venice night 5,6 in lucerne but can be changed and night 7 in zurich which we fly the next morning. We would like any advice from trains to towns etc. What can we do with our luggage along the route until we reach our hotel daily ? Dates are middle of May. Thank you !

Method of transportation? Train?
By train, you can be in Muerren in 7 hours if you get the 8:20 train to Milan. Once you make it to Muerren, you can relax for a day and hope for nice weather to see those Alps, they're all around you. It is easy to get to Luzern from there. If your flight is not too early, stay another night in Luzern as you can get a train to the airport in 1 hour from there. The first train is at 4:55 and takes 1 hour 18 minutes, faster trains at 7:00.
Luggage will be with you all the time.

With only two nights I would just make an easy stop on Lake Como.
Day
1-2. Venice (2N)
3. Train (via sightseeing stop in Milan) to Lake Como (2N)
4. Bellagio & Lake Como
5. Train to Luzern (2N)
6. Pilatus or Titlis excursion
7. Train to Zurich (1N)
