Are there any that dispenses Euros? Maybe in Geneva? (closer to the French border)
All were local currency in Lucerne, Zurich, and Zug when were there. Side question -- why would you want Euro in Switzerland?
Yeah, to second Frank's point there... if you need Euros in a Euro country, why not just wait until you've crossed the border?
We will be arriving in Paris by rail from Switzerland. We need to pay for the apartment rental in cash (euro). Not sure if I will be able to withdraw the whole amount from the ATM machine in one day. It was suggested that I ask the owner to accept payment over two days. Will probably go that route.
...or take 2 or 3 ATM cards linked to different accounts. Withdraw the max from each all on the same day at the same ATM.
Note that the Swiss REALLY like their own currency. Swiss ATMs dispense Swiss Francs. Many places in Switzerland such as shops and restaurants will accept Euros but you won't like the exhange rate.
Chances are if you don't pay your rent, you won't get your keys.
I've signed a contract for a Paris apartment in June myself. It requires full payment in Euros on taking occupancy.
Forget the ATMs. I'm taking the Euros with me when I fly out of Miami.
Bon Voyage!
