I am taking my 24 year old brother on a trek around Europe with me. I'm over 25 so I've never used the student or youth train tickets and don't know if there is any difference other than choosing the age range when purchasing his ticket. Do I need to make sure has had his passport ready when tickets are gathered on the train? I just usually have my ticket out and nothing more.
