Streetwise Maps Locations Continue to Grow

This should probably be in the Beyond Europe forum, too.

I'm about a year behind on this, but when I recently looked on Amazon for a map of Dublin, I was thrilled to find a Streetwise map for it. I didn't notice them in the RS shop, but they are there, too. Apparently you can get them in many places.

I did go back and see some forum discussions about the new maps, but the most current was about 5 months ago.

Here's a link to the Michelin website which lists what's currently available: Michelin Expands Its Map Coverage. Note that they are not just for Europe and that there are many types.

This is not a place to buy them, just to keep us informed as to what's available. To see what's in the RS shop go to Streetwise City Maps.

I'm a fan of these reasonably sized and priced laminated maps. They're smaller than a big paper map and bigger than a phone screen, perfect for those of us who like to see a bigger picture of what's around us. There's even one for my hometown, San Antonio.

Thank you, Michelin, and I hope you continue to add more locations.

Thanks for the information, Lo. I like these maps, too!

I like them, too, but they don't always cover the entire part of the city that's of tourist interest. I believe I had that problem with the London map. It's a trade-off: You get a sturdy map that won't wilt into pulp at the first sign of rain, but it doesn't necessarily cover the full city.

Lo, thanks! I had given up looking for them and recommending them.

Thanks Lo! I like them but agree with acraven that sometimes (especially after you've visited a city a few times) what you want to see is off the map's edge!

I like them because they are easy to slip in my purse or the deep pockets of my waterproof jacket. They are easy to pull out and consult without having to unfold something big and I like that they are water resistant.
