We are traveling to Europe this fall (4 adults). As we are going through the maze of find a car big enough to hold some extra luggage, we are trying to find out if there are storage units we can rent in and around Rome, Italy. We would need this storage for about 15 days before we get on our ship.

Just how much luggage do you expect to have that you would need to rent a storage unit? We do all of our cruises with carryon size bags and one small bag for the extra cruise clothes we take. That is one extra carryon bag for two adults. You don't need or what ten extra bags for a cruise.

You may be able to store your extra luggage at the baggage deposit at Rome Termini train station. There might be a one week time limit, but it's an option worth checking.

I also suggest that if staying in Rome at the beginning and end ask your hotel if you can leave some items there.Most have storage rooms.
