We will be students at the University in Edinbough in fall, but first we want to travel Europe. Is there any place we can store our luggage so we can travel light with just our carry ons? We cannot find any place to do this, please help.

Have you checked with the University? I am certain that they could make some recommendations. If not, ask if they can help you connect with fellow students- perhaps they could make some suggesstions, or even store items for you. If not, perhaps you could have someone ship your "big" items over close to the time you start classes. Be sure to check out Inverness while in Scotland; it is an awesome city. Aviemore is a great village between Inverness and Edinburgh- you can ski there in the winter and it has lots to do.

I did the same thing...only opposite...a few years ago. I was studying in Edinburgh, wanted to travel for a few weeks after class was out, but my flight home was out of Edinburgh. I put my stuff in storage at Edinburgh Self Storage: http://www.edinburghstorage.co.uk/contact.aspx. I can't remember the prices...but I was a student at the end of a semester in Edinburgh, and I know money was tight! I remember the staff was very helpful. There was a deposit, but they sent it to me pretty quickly after I checked out. I'm sure there are other storage places, but this place was on my way to the airport.
