Stop over in Rome from Nice to Bari

Hi I will be traveling from Nice to Bari with the same airline and have a 1 hour stop over in Rome. Will I have to recheck my bag and go through customs ?

If you’re checking your bag when you depart Nice, the airline will transfer your bag to the second plane bound for Bari. No Customs. You’ll never see your bag until you reach Bari.

I’m not positive whether you’ll go thru Security yourself before boarding that second plane.

Yes I’m checking my bag in nice, and yes I have a single ticket. Will I have to go through customs?

Both France and Italy are in Schengen. It's like like traveling state to state in the US.

And as stated before, your bag should automatically be transferred to your next flight.

By the way, customs is for your staff. Immigration/passport control is for you.

Ok thank you. Also, I have global Entry but I didn’t see the box where you fill it in when I purchased my ticket. Isn’t that strange ? I’m always asked. Even for domestic flights. (TSA redress number).

If you are flying from Nice to Bari why would the airline need your Trusted Traveler number? It's only good for the US and you're not traveling there.

No TSA precheck in Nice nor Global Entry in Rome.

I think you're asking a separate question about where to find your Global Entry # for leaving and entering the USA? Go into your carrier website, be sure you have a user name and password & you should be able to find a place to enter the GE number for your flights in & out of USA. And downloading the app onto your phone is another added feature to have so you can see if the US portion is late, it may show the flight they've rebooked you on. Good luck!
