The official EU website still says planning to start in the last quarter of this year.
It’s already June and no word, so I’m thinking that either this is going to be delayed even longer, or it will be suddenly implemented with short notice.
I’ve just booked flights to Europe for Sept-Oct. so keeping an eye out for a start date.
We have flights in October and November too, so have been watching. But with the EES seemingly having a lot of teething problems, im getting the feeling that ETIAS may well be delayed again.
Relax.....ETIAS has already been postponed over three years. If, and when, it will be implemented is anyone's guess. But they will give plenty of notice.

Even though the website mentions the last quarter of 2026, it has been announced that ETIAS won't be launched until at least 2027.
You will be informed months in advance of the exact rollout date for ETIAS anyway.
Given the current issues at European airports just with setting up the EES system, I guess they have bigger fish to fry right now than worrying about the ETIAS launch.
