St Petersburg restaurants

Read on Rick's St Petersburg Russia page that Carrols at Nevsky 45 has the best fast food in the center. Then read on Wikipedia: Most Carrols restaurant locations were converted to Burger King franchises in 1975, with less profitable stores shuttered. After the conversion, the Carrols brand was only found overseas in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Russia. So has anyone been to a Carrols on Nevsky Prospekt 45 this year, this summer? We are going there in mid-Sept.
Thanks so much!! KR

Google street view shows a McDonald's at Nevsky Prospekt 45. I was in St. Petersburg in 2009 and do not recall seeing any fast food restaurants named Carrols.

There used to be a Carrols here in New Paltz back in the 70s when I was a kid. During my visit to St Pete I didn't see any. It certainly would have caught my attention. From wikipedia: "...The last unaffiliated Carrols Restaurants existed in Finland. The chain was eventually bought out by another Finnish fast-food chain, Hesburger. In 2012, Hesburger announced that the brand Carrols would be discontinued, and the last location in Oulunkylä was renamed Hesburger on May 29...." According to Google Maps there is a Hesburger in St. Pete maybe that's where the old Carrols used to be: http://goo.gl/maps/Va4Ue P.S. You can buy beer on tap at the KFC on Nevsky Prospect.
