Spring Break idea help!

I just found out that my husband must travel for work to Europe so I thought I would tag along for the first week of his trip then he could go on to his work destination. But where to go is the problem. I don’t like cold rainy weather, any ideas???

Have you looked at the weather in Europe during that time? ;) Maybe Spain (southern like Seville area), Italy (Tuscany and south)....

I think southern Spain would be a fine idea, but Easter is a big deal in that area, so you may find a somewhat limited (and pricey) lodging selection, depending on your dates. But Andalucía is often miserably hot in the summer, so this would be a great opportunity to see at least part of it.

Rain is possible just about everywhere during the spring. You can explore actual day-by-day historical weather stats for potential destinations on the Wunderground website. Enter a destination, choose History, then Monthly, then use the pull-down boxes to select the appropriate month in 2017, 2016, 2015, etc. I've linked to Seville's data for April 2017.

When is the trip and where does he have to go?

Europe is a big place and Spring Break occurs at different times. Where is he going, when is he going, what kinds of things would you like to see, and how much can you afford?

We've been to Andaucia several times over Easter and the weather can be variable. Sometimes it is warm and sunny, other times it's been raining for several days. Spring break doesn't mean much to me as it's not something we have in Europe, the school holidays are situated around Easter and as I understand it spring break varies throughout the US. The later in April you go in southern Spain the better the weather becomes.

It would help if you tell us WHERE in Europe your husband will be working.
